OK! Exclusive: Jodie Sweetin Opens Up About Split

Following the surprising news this afternoon that former Full House star Jodie Sweetin had filed for legal separation from Cody Herpin, her husband of 16 months and the father of their adorable baby daughter Zoie, OK! talked exclusively to Jodie to find out what happened.

"We separated," she confirmed in a conversation with OK!, adding that she's "going to handle this as best as possible for Zoie."

Explaining her current state of mind regarding the split, Jodie says, "I'm sad it didn't work out but I'm moving forward with my life."

Jodie and Cody were married in July 2007. In April 2008, she gave birth to Zoie and subsequently blogged for OK! about the ordeals of being a new mom and keeping her resurgent career back on track.

She recently wrapped filming on her first feature film and is currently working on a tell-all book about her life for Simon & Schuster.
